Bands to Watch at Camp Flog Gnaw 2018

Tyler, the Creator's seventh annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival is going down this coming weekend (November 10-11) at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The 2018 rendition of the two-day festival is already sold-out with its biggest lineup yet.
The headliners include a live performance from Kanye West and Kid Cudi as Kids See Ghosts, Post Malone, Ms. Lauryn Hill (performing The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill), Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky, and SZA. The performance portion of Camp Flog Gnaw will be held on the Dodger Stadium field, while the Carnival's festivities are set to take place in the areas outside of the ballpark.
As Tyler usually does, he has stacked this year's lineup with as many big hitters as there are up-and-comers. We have compiled our favorites of the smaller-font artists who you definitely won’t want to miss this weekend. But first, make sure to cue up our Camp Flog Gnaw Spotify playlist!

Rex Orange County - 4:30PM Saturday @ Camp Stage
Rex Orange County, also known as Alexander O'Connor, is the 20-year-old eclectic singer-songwriter who has been winning big hearts with his old school blue-eyed soul. Rex Orange County has impressed many with his debut album Bcos U Will Never B Free and with his sophomore album Apricot Princess, which both radiate charisma and have been reminding us of our teen romance fantasies. He was also featured on three of Tyler, the Creator’s Flower Boy tracks: “Boredom,” “Garden Shed,” and “Foreword.”
Rex Orange County "Sunflower"
Tierra Whack - 1:40PM Sunday @ Camp Stage
Tierra Whack is the 23-year old Philly rapper who is guaranteed to put on an unparalleled performance as she is truly a one-of-a-kind artist. Her debut album Whack World was released earlier this year and is composed of 15 one-minute snapshots that take us into her whimsical sense of imagination. For more about the artist behind Whack World check out our recent profile on Tierra Whack.

Wallows - 2:15 PM Saturday @ Flog Stage
For those needing a reason to justify your unhealthy binge-watching of the Netflix show 13 Reasons Why?, I have found you a decently far-fetched, yet plausible answer. Turns out when Dylan Minnette isn't playing the bandaid-ornamented Clay Jensen, he is the frontman for Wallows, the indie rock trio who are continuing to impress.
Wallows "Pictures of Girls"
Turnstile - 1:25PM Saturday @ Camp Stage
The Baltimore band have become one of hardcore’s most promising groups, making a loud and destructive name for themselves in the punk scene. They have recently released a new full-length album titled Time & Space that is calling for all stage divers and mosh pits to conjoin at their set.
Turnstile "Real Thing"
Kilo Kish - 2:10PM Sunday @ Camp Stage
Kish was a late addition to the lineup, but the news was made even more exciting with the release of her mothe EP. The six-song EP was Kish’s first release since her 2016 debut album Reflections in Real Time. The returning EP is a solid listen beginning to end, having us anxiously awaiting for what she has in store for 2018 Camp Flog Gnaw.
