Songs We Want Performed On An Evening with Fleetwood Mac Tour

Fleetwood Mac are in the midst of their fall 2018 tour with a new lineup, new music and lots of nostalgia.
The new lineup follows the departure of longtime band member Lindsey Buckingham and features two new additions: Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Neil Flynn (Crowded House).
Though I'm loving all of the gems they've been pulling out as well as the live debuts, there are some Mac classics that I'm itching for them to play live again.
I'm just going to start off by saying this: I know a lot of these songs are Lindsey Buckingham related–whether they're written by him, with him or about him– but this is just wishful thinking!
There has always been a lot of tension in the Fleetwood Mac circle, but drama aside, these songs are pretty damn great and we'd love to hear them again.
Track: "Tusk"
Last time played: January 36, 2018
I completely get why the band hasn't played this song in a while, but it's an instant classic.
Written by Lindsey Buckingham for the band's 1979 double EP of the same name, "Tusk" remains one of the weirdest Top 10 hits the band's ever had.
The lyrics are simple, but explain a very complex relationship between Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, as so many Mac classics do. Buckingham croons:
"Why don’t you ask him if he going to stay? / Why don’t you ask him if he’s going away?”
The music video was filmed live at Dodger Stadium. Check it out below:

And that powerful instrumental section? That's the USC Marching Band. You can sometimes hear this song at Lakers games– a lot of the Laker Band is actually comprised of former USC Marching Band members.
Track: "Silver Springs"
Last time played: November 22, 2015
Another ode to her crumbling relationship with Buckingham, Nicks wrote this track originally for Rumors, but decided to leave it off the album, which (surprise!) caused even MORE tension within the band.
In 1997, the song got a second life on Fleetwood Mac's reunion album, The Dance. "Silver Springs" was included on the setlist during the filming of their reunion concert, earning the group a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for the live version.
Midway through the performance, Nicks locked eyes with Buckingham and sang the rueful bridge:
“Time cast a spell on you, but you won’t forget me/I know could have loved you but you would not let me.”
Then:
“I’ll follow you down ’til the sound of my voice will haunt you/You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you.”
"I never thought that "Silver Springs" would ever be performed onstage [again]," Nicks reflected during a 1997 MTV interview.
"My beautiful song just disappeared. For it to come back around like this has really been special to me."
You can watch the full performance here... try to fight the goosebumps at the end:

Track: "Sara"
Last time played: July 30, 2017
Released in December 1979, this slow ballad was the band's first hit in the '80s: the song peaked at No. 7 in the United States for three weeks.
Nicks' ex-boyfriend, Don Henley, claims that the song is dedicated to the pair's unborn child. But Nicks says it's more complicated than that.
"Had I married Don and had that baby, and had she been a girl, I would have named her Sara," she said in an interview. "It's accurate, but not the entirety of it."

Track: "I'm So Afraid"

The final track of the band's self-titled album, "I'm So Afraid" used to close out all of Fleetwood Mac's live performances. It appeared on nearly all of their live albums, and Buckingham still plays it at his solo shows.
“I’m no Jimi Hendrix,” Buckingham said in an interview about the guitar solos.
“I don’t have the level of proficiency to just let myself go off into something completely different every night. Nor do I think I would want to. I am someone who values musical themes. Someone who feels there should be a consistency from night to night with something. I’m not one of those people that can slam out a completely different solo every night, because I don’t have the skill to do that.”
Some people consider it to be one of the band's best.
Here's my favorite live performance of the song:
