Courteeners Live Debut 3 New Songs in 20-Song Set on 2019 UK Run!

Last night, November 26th, the Courteeners returned to the stage, for the first time since their 2019 summer Festival tour circuit, in Sheffield at the O2 Academy! The short tour comes as a little "pre-game," if you will, to gear up for the release of their sixth studio album, More. Again. Forever., which will drop on January 17th, 2020.
Last year, frontman Liam Fray described the new album as such:
“It’s more dancey, but obviously with real players and a human element,” he explained. “You can hear the fucking breath on the hi-hat, rather than everything being programmed.”
We've already heard a couple singles off the record, the title track and "Heavy Jacket," but last night, the British indie rock band gave fans a live taste of two of the singles. Eight songs in they live debuted "Heart Attack," and then a little later they live debuted the album's title track!
"Heart Attack" Live Debut
That wasn't the night's only live debut, however. During the first encore (that's right, there was TWO!), Courteeners paid homage to Sheffield locals by doing a rendition of Arctic Monkeys' 2011 hit "Suck It and See." Naturally, the locals sang-a-long to every word of the anthemic song. It must have been an impromptu decision, as the setlist originally listed "Bide Your Time." Watch below!
The second encore was just as good, as Courteeners started the 5-song affair with two deep cuts! The first was "Hometown One," which hadn't been performed since 2015, followed by "Beautiful Head," which hadn't been performed since 2016.
The rest of the setlist was career-spanning and you can see everything they played below:
The mini UK tour has only three dates left, but make sure to check back with to see if they live debut any more new material!
The band also was recently announced as one of the headliners for Scottish music festival TRNSMT alongside Liam Gallagher and Ian Brown. It will take place in Glasgow in July of 2020!
