Jimmy Eat World Played 14-Song Set on Jim Adkins' Birthday 2001

Jimmy Eat World frontman Jim Adkins dives into his 45th year today, November 10th. Celebrations during a pandemic can be hard but at setlist.fm we've got the power of nostalgia to carry us through. We've dug up a JEW setlist from this day in 2001, which would place us right the midst of the Bleed American Tour! One of the many peaks in JEW's career. Let's check out what the setlist looked like on Adkins' 26th Birthday, 19 years ago.

The tour was on its first European/ UK leg, and the show took place at Scala in London with a 14-song setlist. Already the set was special because they opened up with "Goodbye Sky Harbor," a song they opened with only one other time on the tour.

They equally worked in songs off both Bleed American and Clarity. Their biggest hits "The Middle," "Bleed American," and set ender "Sweetness" all made it in, and are in fact their top three most performed songs to date. Deeper cuts made it in there too, like "Clarity" and "Softer," the latter which hasn't even been performed since this very show.

During the pandemic, JEW have done a handful of livestream performances and more recently, been very politically active.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM!
