Entertainers are just like us. Especially on Halloween.
While they might not go door-to-door collecting candy, many enjoy dressing up for the holiday to mix it up a little to break up the monotony of the road.
Friday was no different as Billy Strings and his band demonstrated beautifully in Baltimore. But he was not the only one decked out in fun costumes as he rocked out.
Here are a few of the big names who also got in on the fun.
Metallica, Perth Australia
Metallica kicked off the Australian leg of their massive tour last week.
"After 12 long years, the wait is finally over," the band tweeted. "We’ve arrived in Australia, and we’ve brought the M72 World Tour with us."
Apparently they also brought a giant kangaroo costume with them which singer James Hetfield climbed into during soundcheck to rock out in.
At first you might ask, why didn't he play it during the show, but when you hear how stifled his vocals were while trying to sing the ominous "For Whom The Bell Tolls," it makes sense that he only did it for the few who were there during warm ups.
Technically the show was on Nov 1, but it was Down Under so maybe it was Halloween on this side of the globe?
Metallica will be touring in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East this winter. Get your tix on their website.
Ice Spice, Tokyo
Taylor Swift's former award show plus one is twerking and rapping in Japan.
More specifically she was doing her thing at the Harajuku Horror Night at the Spotify O-East on Friday sporting the most realistic Sailor Moon outfit around.
It was both a bold move and a risky one as the manga and anime franchise got its start in Tokyo in the early '90s, so that audience would probably know if it were inauthentic or missing a piece.
Strangely there are no more tour dates on her website, which is fascinating because in September she released her first single in nearly a year, "Baddie Baddie" and two weeks ago the official video dropped and it already has 9.4 million views.
While some have been quick to write her off, the tune, which samples M.I.A.’s 2012 jam “Bad Girls,” clearly has found an audience. That along with her film debut earlier this year in Spike Lee's excellent Highest 2 Lowest could be the momentum she needs to hush the cynics.
Tame Impala, Brooklyn
While some dressed up as superheroes or cartoon characters, what's scarier than all dressing up as the same one guy? In this case the musicians of Tame Impala all dressed up as frontman Kevin Parker.
Kevin was also dressed as Kevin so it was at times difficult to easily figure out who the real Kevin was, which made it all that more fun.
What a brave move of Parker, someone who claims to have low self esteem about his career, to be cool with all of his band looking like the guy he wrote Deadbeat after. But some would call that looking the problem in the eye.
Kevin and the other Kevins will be in Austin tomorrow and then California till the middle of this month. Grab your tickets on the Tame Impala website.
Sabrina Carpenter, NYC
By now we should all expect that when Sabrina does something she goes all out. So instead of dubbing her Halloween show at Madison Square Garden just another stop on her Short N' Sweet tour, she called Friday night's the Short N' Spooky Show.
Our girl revealed herself at the top of the show by parting her towel and flashing the sold out crowd with the sight of her in a Wonder Woman costume. Her band were all Spider-people (which tracks because that's what's going on in the Spider-verse).
And then her dancers all had their own different costumes, making the show even more of a vision than usual.
But wait, there was more. Throughout the performance, she changed outfits to be Barbie, and then Wilma Flintstone.
"Creativity is on 12 tonight," she told her adoring audience who were also decked out. "You all look marvelous, truly."
Then she arrested Drew Barrymore who was dressed up as Ghostface, the killer in Scream.
Wonder Woman doesn't have all that many shows left this year. Grab tix while you can off of Sabrina's website.
