Big news from Lady Gaga today! Earlier this afternoon, the superstar confirmed that she is taking up a two-year residency in Las Vegas and partnering up with the MGM Park Theater for the concert series. The announcement comes a day after Lady Gaga wrapped up her North American leg of her Joanne World Tour at The Forum in Los Angeles. The “Poker Face” singer will begin her special engagement at the 5,300-seat Park Theater in December 2018.

The pop queen tweeted earlier today, “The rumors are true! I will have my own residency at MGM’s Park Theater. Get ready for a brand new show!! It’s been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I’m so overjoyed! LOVE YOU LITTLE MONSTERS WE DID IT, MEET ME IN Las Vegas!!”

In a press release announcing her residency, the "Born This Way" artist said, “It’s the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli. I am humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before. I’ll tell you exactly what I told my MGM and Park Theater partners - you can count on this performer always for one thing…I’ll leave my heart on the stage every single night. Thank you to my fans for always believing in me. Meet me in Las Vegas baby, we did it!”

Lady Gaga - "Million Reasons"

This was one of Gaga's biggest years of her career. The six-time Grammy nominee played the Super Bowl halftime show, headlined Coachella, and went on her massive Joanne World Tour in support of her fifth album, 2016’s Joanne. In September, Netflix released "Gaga: Five Foot Two," a documentary that goes behind the scenes with the pop artist as she releases Joanne and prepares for her Super Bowl halftime performance. She recently received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album in connection with her latest record. The European leg of her Joanne World Tour will begin on January 14 in Barcelona, Spain. It will wrap up on February 23 in Berlin, Germany at Mercedes-Benz Arena.

According to Variety, Lady Gaga will perform at least 74 dates as part of a deal that will pay her nearly $100 million. Dates and ticket information for the Las Vegas engagement will be announced in the coming months. To stay updated with the latest news on Lady Gaga, visit her website.
