Royal Blood Schedules US Headlining Tour

After spending most of the year touring behind the likes of mega rockstars, Queens of The Stone Age and Guns ‘N Roses, the spotlight is now shining on UK outfit Royal Blood as they plot their own US headlining tour next May. In support of their 2017 sophomore album, How Did We Get So Dark?, the duo consisting of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher, will get things rolling first at New York’s Brooklyn Steel on May 28. The tour will see its end on June 15 at the National in Richmond, Virginia.

The “Lights Out” group’s latest album, How Did We Get So Dark? debuted at number six on the US Top Rock Albums, but number one for UK Albums, UK Rock & Metal Albums, and Scottish Albums. The duo will be on television December 7 performing “I Only Lie When I Love You" on TBS’s Conan. In October, the guys were one of the featured bands at CalJam ’17, the Foo Fighters curated-lineup festival.

The duo is finishing out the year with appearances this week in Houston, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles for KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas. On February 17, they will open up again for their 2017 tourmates, Queens of The Stone Age, at The Forum in Los Angeles. After that, Royal Blood is set to play South America’s Lollapalooza in March in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

The twosome are scheduled for several gigs in New Zealand and Australia, and will return to support Queens of the Stone Age with a handful shows in May. Support for Royal Blood’s headlining tour beginning in the spring has yet to be announced. Tickets for the run will go on sale at Noon ET this Friday, December 8 via the band’s website.
