King Diamond's Institute North American Tour Photos – Exclusive

Danish heavy metal legend King Diamond is currently on the road for his Institute North American Tour, in support of his first studio album in 12 years titled Institute, scheduled for release in 2020. The Institute North American Tour launched on November 2 in Dallas, Texas and is set to run through December 4 where it will wrap at Comerica in Phoenix, Arizona for a total of 23 dates.
While the studio version from the Institute lead single "Masquerade of Madness" officially dropped on November 8, the song made its live debut on June 21 at Hellfest 2019 at Val de Moine in France.
Taking a look at our setlist.fm data, we're able to confirm every setlist for every show has been unchanged so far and we don't believe before tour wrap come December 4. Every show has opened with "The Candle" and held the main set closer with "The Lake" before a two-track encore featuring "Burn" and "Black Horsemen" closes out the show.

We had a photographer on hand at The Warfield in San Francisco to catch all the gore and glory of a King Diamond show. The iconic rocker certainly knows how to put on a show and our photos prove it. Check out the exclusive pics from the November 29 show above!
While King Diamond is set to have a major 2020 with his new album The Institute, the reunion of his band Mercyful Fate is equally as major. Mercyful Fate will reunite in 2020 for their first shows in more than 20 years. The guys are also set to release their first original music since the 1999 release, 9.
If you're lucky enough to catch King Diamond on one of his remaining 3 tour dates, do it!
