2022 in Review: Brynn Cartelli

Audiences were first introduced to Brynn Cartelli when she was only 14 years old, auditioning for The Voice. She would go on to win at age 15 while on Kelly Clarkson's inaugural team, and is still the youngest ever winner of the long-running series. Now 19, the singer-songwriter has taken her career into her own hands, spending 2022 releasing new singles following her 2021 EP Based on a True Story. In addition to opening for One Republic this summer, she recently finished a tour supporting Elektra label-mate Jake Scott and just did a headline show at the Mercury Lounge in New York on December 2nd. Despite a hectic winter schedule, Brynn Cartelli took the time to answer some questions about her big year.

Setlist.fm: What was your favorite show that YOU played this year? Tell us about it.
Brynn Cartelli:
I had a blast on the tour this fall, but I think my favorite show this year was the one I played back in March in NYC. The energy in that room was contagious, everybody was singing every word (even the unreleased songs!) It was truly magical!!!!

Setlist.fm: What was your favorite show that you SAW this year?

BC: The 1975 at Madison Square Garden. Insane.

Setlist.fm: Can you share a favorite touring memory from this year?

BC: I loved driving through the winter wonderland scene between Detroit and Chicago while singing Lady Gaga with my mom.

Setlist.fm: What do you have planned for 2023?

BC: Lots and lots and LOTS of music... I’d love to get back on road at some point too! :)
