Lana Del Rey Announces UK & Ireland Stadium MiniTour

While everyone was elbow-deep cooking up grub for their family over the holiday, Lana Del Rey was doing the thing her fans wanted her to - she agreed to play a half dozen dates in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales next year.

But not in cute little theaters with embellished ceilings and walls, but enormous stadiums where soccer, er, football is commonly played.

As we have documented here before, the Brooklyn Baby who is simultaneously your Venice b-word, has always considered herself more of a singer + songwriter + studio personality than a performer on a giant stage.

Ironic because earlier this year she dazzled the world with back-to-back iconic Coachella performances which included one of the most classic entrances and exits at the chic festival in the desert.

She doesn't tour much, so if you love her, go see her.

Last year the intensely popular singer only performed two other shows in the United States other than Coachella, the relatively obscure Hang Out Festival in Alabama, and a star-crossed headlining gig at Boston's legendary Fenway Park the day before her 39th birthday.

Before the gig at the historic baseball park, fans were evacuated to the concourse and her show was delayed for two hours on account of a vicious lightning storm.

It was her first headlining show at a stadium, but because of the park's strict curfew, the late start meant she could only perform for an hour.

Before the show she was presented with a birthday cake.

The remaining shows were festival engagements in England, Spain, France, and Portugal.

The UK Tour will be in support of her forthcoming album, The Right Person Will Stay, the country LP many thought was going to be called Lasso.

Posting on her Instagram last week, Lana wrote the record will be drop May 21.

"so grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, Zach and Drew Erickson amongst others. Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach 🚴 🧣 starting with Henry," she wrote, ending with, "Love Always."

Initially her 10th studio album was rumored to come out in September of this year, but the prolific songstress was a little busy. On September 26, she tied the knot with her alligator tour guide, Jeremy Dufrene, in Louisiana.

The couple first met in 2019 when she took a ride on an air boat he was piloting. Lana is now a stepmother of two girls and a boy.

Jeremy, who is 49, has popped the question now three times. One woman he married and divorced, the other he was engaged to for a very long time but never got hitched.

“I am in shock because we were engaged for 12 years, and he got married [to Lana] after one month,” Kelli Welsh said of her fiancee. The pair parted ways in late 2023.

The UK and Ireland tour was originally planned to be a mere five huge shows but when demand for the Wembley Stadium gig was overwhelming, they added a second date. That one sold out quickly as well.

All told, all six shows are now sold out.

Will she add a third date at Wembley? Will she venture back to France or Italy or gasp, Scandinavia? Don't the good people of Sweden deserve Mother?
