Zach Bryan, who will headline Stagecoach in the spring will make his way to San Francisco in the summer to play in Golden Gate Park.
The country superstar will be sharing the bill with Nashville's own Kings of Leon on the grounds that have hosted some iconic concerts from the Grateful Dead's legendary "Summer Solstice" concert in 1967 to modern-day festivals like Outside Lands and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
It makes one wonder if the two acts can really fill the enormous park where tickets will start at $200.
While promoters promise there will be other acts on the bill, tickets go on sale today, thus we will all see the drawing power of the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and the brothers from Tennessee.
Bryan has surprised people before. In 2022 his single "Something in the Orange" made it to the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and wouldn't leave the charts for 65 consecutive weeks, which set a record as the longest-charting country single by a male artist.
Then last year his duet "I Remember Everything" with Kacey Musgraves debuted at #1 and earned the pair that fancy Grammy.
But outside of festivals with many acts on the bill, Zach usually performs in 20,000 seat basketball arenas. GG Park will be more than twice that.
Now granted, he has been playing two night stands at places like Sacramento, Phoenix and Portland on his Quittin Time Tour.
But if ticket sales are slow this weekend, expect some more big names to be added to the show.
With that said, Kings of Leon have shown that they too can sell out arenas. Their Can We Please Have Fun World Tour saw them headlining in over 40 cities in venues like the Kia Forum.
They have an audience of their own that may not overlap Zach's, so maybe this can work out.
