Way to get a "brief" result set?

Is there a way to apply a filter for which fields are returned. For instance, I might want to just get the dates that a particular artist played at a particular venue without having to transfer all of the setlist information also.

no, unfortunately that's not possible. I'll note it as an idea for the next version though.
