Hi... I did attendt ELO i Drammenshallen i 82, but I was only 12 years old, and don't remember the whole thing ;-)
I do have a friend that has been writing a book about all the shows in Drammenshallen, he knows about everything that went on there from 1970 to 1990... send him a mail with your question, and you might be lucky!!!

Hey Clay, Just got back from seeing Jeff Lynne's ELO on the Over & Out tour in Philly. in response to your earlier messages to me about Ticket to the Moon being played on the Time tour, I believe the setlist and order shown on Setlist FM for that date are likely correct. That was my favorite song off of the album and I am pretty sure (about 95%) that I remember it being played. Unfortunately, I dont have a bootleg from the show and I didn't buy a program and write the songs in it (as I did with a lot of other concerts) to fully confirm. Hope this helps though... Rich D.

Hi, sorry, I cant remember if ELO played Jungle that night.

Hi Clay, like other posters at the Houston 1981 show, I was young (14) and don't remember much except how great it sounded and the heavy use of blue lights on stage. I don't recall telescreens being used at that show, but it's possible. The Summit was large enough and they were used at other concerts I saw there.

Hi Clay,
Responding to your message about ELO's Houston show in 1981. This was my first-ever show. I was 13 years old and went with a friend and his dad. The whole experience was rather overwhelming, and I don't remember much. I'd been an ELO fan for a little while, as I'd bought Out of the Blue, and it was pretty much my favorite album. I had recently bought Time and loved it. As I recall, they played most of that album live, but again my memory is a bit hazy.
Take care,
Brent

Hi Clay, I love "Ticket to the Moon" and feel pretty certain it was played at the Houston show on Sept. 16, 1981... but I can't say for sure and don't recall if it had a certain arrangement. From what I remember, the Time songs sounded just like the album. Absolutely fantastic sound & production!!

Hi Clay! Re: "I saw you attended the ELO concert at the Summit, September 16, 1981, in Houston. Would you be willing to take a few questions from me about this particular show through email?"

I don't recall too much, except a lot of blue stage lights, fantastic sound, and singing along to every song!! I'd been listening to "Time" nonstop for the previous 2 mths. My mom took my younger brother and me to the concert (at our request). It was my 3rd concert. I kept a handwritten list of shows and wrote that the Michael Stanley Band opened. Hope that helps!

Hello! Re: "I saw you attended the ELO show at the Summit, Sep. 16, 1981. Would you be willing to chat through email about this show to the best of your recollection?"

I recall very little about the show (I was 15 at the time), apart from two main facts: The stage was very clean and clear, which surprised me a little since I'd obviously seen photos of the "Out of the Blue" spaceship, and there were no longer any cellos in the band, just 2 extra keyboard players plus violinist Mik Kaminski, who also had a keyboard.

I saw you reached out to me about the Time show. Happy to answer any questions. I was in 10th grade at the time. My mom was taking my sister and her friend (neither who could drive and who had scored 2nd row tickets) to the show with the intent of killing time by taking me to a Phillies game next door. ELO was actually one of my favorite groups at the time so I really wanted to see them plus I reminded my Mom the concert and baseball game would end at different times. So we wound up getting extremely lucky as my Mom wound up buying scalper tickets front and center in the 4th row from the stage. I remember my mom having a blast during Roll Over Beethoven. It was a great show. I am pretty sure I still have the concert stub and maybe a program. I recently gave my concert shirt to my 15yo daughter who also likes ELO. She wears it around now!

I don't think I have many answers but you're welcome to ask. barry@brogoff.com

"Hi there,

I saw you attended ELO performing at the Spectrum on October 2, 1981. Are you willing to take a few questions about that show?

Thank you."

I'd be happy to try and answer any questions about the show. I was 10 at the time and it was my first concert. My memory of it is understandably hazy after 42 years.
