Today Cardi B gave her stans the best news she could give, the first dates of her long-awaited tour. The rapper shared the first batch of dates of her debut arena tour in support of 2018's Invasion of Privacy on her official website. The summer dates will hit cities like Tulsa, Oklahoma; Wichita, Kansas; Lincoln, Nebraska; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Indianapolis, Indiana and Charlottesville, Virginia.
The tour has been highly anticipated as we patiently waited for Cardi to get her schedule figured out after the birth of her first child, Kulture.
In April 2018 she made a statement:
“So I just wanna make this a little clearer and everything, Broccoli Fest will be my last performance for a little while and everything because, you know, shorty keep growing and it’s like, I be looking like I’m moving and everything, but in reality a b*tch barely can breathe,” she said at the time. “I wanna thank y’all for understanding. I’ll be back for the Bruno Mars tour and everything and thank y’all so much. I just wanna let y’all know that . . . Thank you very much. I f*ckin’ love y’all motherf*ckers.”
She evidently had to drop out of the Mars tour as well to, understandably, spend more time with her baby. So we're thrilled that 2019 is the year for Cardi to finally make her tour debut. Rumored tour support will be from Kevin Gates and Saweetie.
Before the tour takes off, the Grammy winner may deliver us a new album. She recently told a fan:
“Of course it’s gonna be an album in 2019. Hopefully, I could get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out, but I don’t know how possible that’s gonna be because I feel like I’m going to be extremely, extremely busy.”
The summer tour will kick off after a slew of festival performances, starting July 23rd in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and for now wrapping up July 31st Charlottesville, Virginia. But we're anticipating another official tour announce sooner than later!
In the meantime, Cardi and Bruno Mars will release their music video to "Please Me" this friday, March 1st! So keep an eye out for that.
