On This Day Madonna Kicked Off 2006 Confessions Tour w/ 19 Songs

It's been 14 years since Madonna, the Queen of Pop, kicked off her seventh concert tour in support of her 10th studio album Confessions on a Dance Floor. The Confessions Tour lifted off on this day, May 21st, at The Forum in Los Angeles. It was the first of three sold-out nights at the venue.

This night unveiled Madonna's 19-song setlist that would follow her on all 60-dates of the tour. She revealed seven live debuts and dusted off four very missed tracks to weave into the set, which was divided into four acts: Equestrian, Bedouin, Glam-Punk, and Disco.

The first act kicked off with her first live debut of the night - "Future Lovers," which carried samples of Donna Summers' "I Feel Love." The whole segment had horse-themed, bondage performances. That's when she unleashed "Like a Virgin" for the first time since 1993, making her fans go wild.

The second act featured performances accompanied by messages, and fired off with "Live to Tell," which hadn't been performed since 1990. The rest of the act was made up entirely of live debuts off Confessions: "Forbidden Love," "Isaac," "Sorry" and "Like It or Not."

The Glam-Punk part featured Madonna playing guitars and busting out some Ray of Light era songs like the title-track and "Drowned World/Substitute for Love." Woven in-between were the live debuts of "Let It Will Be" and "Paradise (Not for Me)."

The fourth and final act was the Disco segment where fans were wowed with a whole lotta dancing. It opened with "Music" being performed as a mashup with "Disco Inferno." She busted out "Erotica" for the first time since 1993 AND with the original lyrics! Then played two staples - "La Isla Bonita" and "Lucky Star" which had its first performance in years, since 1987! The ending of the track teased elements of "Hung Up" before going into a full performance of the club anthem.
