Sade Returns With New Music "The Big Unknown"

Sade's voice could put you in a trance, it's that mesmerizing. Over the weekend she blessed this world with a new single called "The Big Unknown." It's for an upcoming Steve McQueen directed thriller called Widows.

The song was elusively dropped on Friday (November 9th) with little promotion, just like Sade likes it. The single proves that the R&B jazz singer still maintains her sultry croon. Listen/ watch the lyric music video below.

"The Big Unknown"

“It was an honor to work with such a legend,” McQueen said in a statement to Rolling Stone.

“Sade is an incomparable talent and incredible artist who so rarely releases new material, but luckily the original series of Widows had deeply resonated with her.”

The icon has been on a bit of streak with landing on soundtracks lately. Earlier in the year, she contributed to the A Wrinkle In Time soundtrack with the song "Flower of the Universe." That single marked Sade's first new material in 8 years.

Sade has six studio albums under her belt since 1984, which have garnered her four Grammy Awards. The British-Nigerian singer enjoys releasing music at her own pace, with the last album, Soldier of Love, being released 8 years ago.

However, back in July a collaborator of the "Your Love is King" singer, Stuart Matthewman, said the wait for a new album may come to an end.

“We’re working on a new album,” Matthewman said, noting the group has “a bunch of songs” fans will love. When that album will come, there's no telling.

“The record company knows there’s no point in nagging us or giving us deadlines. It doesn’t really help the process,” he said, adding “[Sade’s] not interested in the fame or any of that [other] stuff. She likes to put out art. So when it’s ready, it will come out.”

We'd wait a lifetime for the goddess if we had to. Her last tour was in 2011, and I'll be glued to my computer until she announces that next tour.
