For performances that are taped/prerecorded for broadcast, we enter them under the date of the performance, if known. If not known we enter under the broadcast date and add an info note "the recording date is unknown". Often the date is revealed after the show has aired.

"Only performances in front of an audience are allowed. No private rehearsals or recording sessions with the exception of radio and television appearances. They should be listed under the recording date, not the date the performance aired."

K-pop fan sites may always list the performance under the broadcast date, but on this site we use the performance date if known.
