Hi, please stop merging tours with different names. setlist.fm allows the usage of tour legs in tour names, as there is no other way of displaying them at the moment. Also, just because part of the tour name is the same (the album title, mostly), it doesn't mean that it's the same tour. A tour that happened in 2025 in Europe is not the same tour that happened in 2026 in South America, even if it shares a name. Different setlists, different supporting artists or even just a different style of tour (for example, Opeth's current exclusive summer shows). And most importantly: setlist.fm is a website for exactly this kind of specific accuracy. After all, we're not merging songs with the same name and "Part 1" and "Part 2" either, right?

There is no real science to merging tours, just what makes sense. For Leprous I merged the tours because there were a couple of tours with only 2 or 3 shows in them that were clearly part of the same tour in support of an album (e.g. album tour vs album tour 2025 vs album tour South America).
What I can see from Opeth and Sepultura there are definitely tours that fall into that category. I will merge the obvious ones. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
