Sorry about the slow reply, i've been out of town and not had the ability to give the attention a response needs. I'll do my best to keep it brief
I can't think of the *specific* rule that musicbrainz is the ONLY source that is allowed here, but all of the mods/admins that i've spoken to about it agree that it is should be considered the PRIMARY one, and deferred to if there's any confusion.
Also, Deeper does have a a release on at least one of the versions of '77 live (i think i might actually have one somewhere), but that's neither here nor there.
How about this: even though i think we'll agree to disagree on which looks "better" when referring to stats (I know i prefer to assign albums to tracks where possible, i understand why you don't), for now we should wait until the official reissues from the surviving LRD members come out next year. Once those are out, I (or you, or both!) can go through and make sure that the sets as they stand now are accurate to the tracklists, and then if necessary I will go back and revert/re-edit every single necessary setlist.
I know it might not be optimal in either case, but that seems to be the best compromise I can think of

Once The Last One Musique (the label founded today in light of Mizutani's passing) finally re-releases the officially released works we'll be able to 100% confirm the translations rather than rely on messy and inconsistent transliterations (from here and on musicbrainz) which we have to use for the time being.
Once those reissues are out I'll go through and clean up and change what is necessary, if anything is.

I'm using musicbrainz as a reference point but i have a friend who saw LRD in the 90s and speaks Japanese fluently as a reference point against musicbrainz. The only ones that aren't functionally perfect are the "deeper than the night" ones.
While not totally perfect i think that having releases tied to specific albums rather than just being transliterations smeared across "other" albums.
Sorry that i didn't supply this information in the actual edit posts, but "I have a friend who is fluent in japanese" with no other comment seems like a bunch of bullshit, at least in my opinion.
