By the way I'm talking about Eon Blue Apocalypse on that comment I left just to be clear. But yes they played no intro to it at all.
By the way, I noticed you had the rare pleasure of seeing them perform Ticks & Leeches Live on 2012. I would've never thought they were playing that live anytime after like 05 or 06. That must've been sick!
To answer your question on the Tool (1/21/22 in Phoenix)- they didn't play any intro to The Patient. Definitely odd since it's only slightly over a minute long but yeah it's definitely one I thought they always do live before the song because all footage of it live that I've seen always has it and I know they did it in Tacoma when you recently just went. They've only played it like twice since they added Culling Voices to the set and switched the order- starting to swap Right in Two with The Patient. But yeah I was scratching my head when I was there because it's only a 1 minute track but it seems essential to play live before The Patient. But yeah, they didn't play it on the 21st.
