Highlights From Marianas Trench's Suspending Gravity Tour

Marianas Trench are currently on their latest trek dubbed the Suspending Gravity Tour. The 22-date tour will be held at venues across North America that will give the fans an up-close-and personal live experience. The trek is also boasting the Vancouver band's signature high-energy performance, while showcasing material from their recently released album Phantoms, as well as tracks from previous Marianas Trench albums.

After months of hibernating in the studio, it’s time to get back on stage in front of our fans and share some new music with the world. We couldn’t be more excited. Time to dust off the shiny pants and stretch out the glutes, the Trench is back,” explains Marianas Trench lead guitarist Matt Webb.

The Suspending Gravity Tour is currently making their way through Canada until March 29, before they begin the second half in the United States. If you're heading to one their upcoming shows, here are some tour highlights you can expect to see!

The Setlist:

So far, the setlist has remained relatively the same throughout the trek. The set is comprised of 18 songs, with around half coming from their newly released album Phantoms. The latest record comes after a four year hiatus and we're sure fans are loving the new tunes incorporated into the live show!

Marianas Trench's Setlist

The Encore:

The encore has consistently featured three songs, including "One Love," "Who Do You Love" and "The Killing Kind."

The Stage:

The stage is full of lights that seem to coincide and respond to the songs movement and themes. According to one concert goer, "The lights, which matched the songs perfectly, were blinding, the energy was as high as the ceiling, and there wasn’t a single person who didn’t leave with a sore throat."

The Opening Act:

Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine are opening for the rockers and perform a 10-song setlist that ranges from originals and to covers.

Tour Surprises:

Lead singer Josh Ramsey makes a point to literally get up close and personal with the crowd. So far during each show, the singer joined the audience for renditions of "Pop 101" and "Haven’t Had Enough," where he goes through the floor seats as well in the balcony so that everyone can be included.

The Covers:

No covers yet, but so much new material the guys have plenty to work with!
