About

I try my best to provide the most accurate sources for shows I edit. Artists like Chase The Bear don't have a lot of press, so most of the setlists I get for them come directly from asking the band. I may edit the same setlists multiple times once I find new material.

That's perfectly fine! That counts as a valid and legitimate source.

You definitely want to avoid edit comments like "I have a friend who was there and he told me that blah blah blah happened" because literally anyone can say something like that to make the edits they want.

Regarding speaking to band members over social media for setlist information, it depends. Saying you just talked to the band members and they said "blah blah blah" is no different than talking to a friend. However, something I've done before for my own friends' bands is provide a link to something tangible, like a screenshot of a message (with names and sensitive infomation censored of course) like you suggested, posted onto an image site like Imgur. One can't dispute something tangible like that! :)

All right, I'll look into that for you. I'll report back as soon as I can.

Hey! :) How is Tahsis all messed up? Is it the presence of the 02 in the listed setlist you linked me? What specifically would you like me to fix?

Oh good, I'm glad to hear that! :)

Hey! Just a head's up, a Moderator is in the process of adding Edgewater in to the site. It shouldn't be long now! :)

Thanks, GFS! I'll get right on this and keep you posted after the Mod gets back to me!

Hey, GFS! Adding a city to the site is a bit tricky… Truthfully, I've never done it myself in all the time I've been on this site. What I can do is talk to a Moderator and try to get Edgewater added in. If you could give me the name of the venue for the show you're wanting to add in, I'll get on this right away. :)

awesome to hear! I wanna get our sets on this site one day but i'll do that when I have the time haha. hope vogue villains comes back to Nan soon

Hello! I don't have a perfect memory of the vogue villains sets i've seen live. But I do know that they usually play "Wrong Side Of Midnight" "Bleed" every night and they've recently played "Tastes Like Sin" a lot
I love playing with these guys so much

Hey. You left this comment on a MCR setlist
"On Lady Gaga setlists all the band jams are listed as “from tape”, because they are instrumentals, despite being played live and not from a tape. I’ve argued and tried to change it but I never win"

If you notice users marking songs performed LIVE at a show by the backing band or choir, as TAPE (= prerecorded) please let me know. This was a bad habit that some users started doing because they didn't want "their artist"'s statistics to show songs the artist didn't sing themselves during the show. This often happens when the artist is a solo singer supported by a backing band of musicians (Beyonce, Avril Lavigne, Adele, etc.) Too bad, if it was performed live by the main artist, or by their backing band DURING the show, it goes on the setlist as a song. The info note can point out if it was just the backing band, the choir, etc.
Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know, I'll edit the setlist now.

When did I claim that my last show was 6/8?

Hello! I updated the venue for the CTB setlist like you asked! I don't know why the setlist gave you an error message when you tried to change it. That's very odd…

Hey, I removed the Nickelback cover tags on the three Raincity setlists for you! Just thought I'd let you know! :)

hello from railrat - thank you for correcting my post from Jimi to Jimmy - i must have had mister hendrix on my mind!

No problem, I'm happy to help! :)

Hello! Yes, reprises of songs are supposed to be listed via @Info tags because it keeps things statistically accurate, as far as the songs go. One exception to this rule is when a band/artist releases an actual reprise song on one of their albums, such as "What I Got (Reprise)" by Sublime or "Eosophobia (Reprise)" by Jack White, in which case the reprise is listed as an individual song. I hope this helps! :)

Hello! Unfortunately, I don't think so... I think the people who run this site eliminated our ability to delete the comments we leave on setlists so they can better document any arguments and/or trolly incidents that occur. I know we used to be able to delete comments on setlists in the past, but not anymore. Sorry about that... :/
