The Cure Perform Career Spanning 29-Song Set at London's Hyde Park

The Cure performed at London’s Hyde Park at British Summer Time Festival over the weekend, and their setlist was dare we say, “Just Like Heaven.” Over 60,000 fans flocked to the festival to celebrate 40 years of the iconic group.

The legendary Brits kicked-off their 29-track setlist with "Plainsong," the opening track from their eight studio album and 1989 release Disintegration. Additional tracks from the record, "Pictures of You," "Love Song," "Lullaby," "Fascination Street," and "Disintegration" were included in the career-spanning set. Frontman Robert Smith commented on the group's celebration of 4 decades by telling the crowd,

“Fourty years ago this weekend, it was the first time we played as the Cure,” Smith said, introducing “Boys Don’t Cry.” If you had asked me then—if any of you had been alive, some of you–what d’you think you’ll be doing in 40 years, I think I would’ve been wrong with my answer. But thanks to everyone around me, I’m still here, and to you as well, thank you very much.”

To top off the dreamy set, fans were treated to a whopping 10-track encore. Check out The Cure's full setlist from their performance at London's Hyde Park below:

In an interview earlier this year with BBC 6 Music, Smith revealed that The Cure would be returning to the studio to demo new songs. “I’ve suddenly fallen in love with the idea of writing new songs,” the singer stated.

And now, we impatiently wait.
