Kevin Lyman Teases Warped Tour 25th Anniversary Dates

Van's Warped Tour officially ended in 2018, but as we all were reassured, it didn't mean it'd be gone forever. Today, founder Kevin Lyman confirmed this sentiment with a tweet that states 2019 plans for Warped are coming together. See below:

The confirmed dates so far are June 8th in Cleveland, June 29-30 in the east coast and July 20-21 in the west coast. No other details have been revealed, nor do we know who will perform this year, but since it will be the festival's 25th anniversary, we're expecting some big names. My personal request is a No Doubt reunion, thanks!

No but for real, since it's not a full fledged tour now, it does make room for many exciting acts to commit, and hopefully for the usual up-and-coming rock acts, to keep the spirit of Warped alive.

"I am so grateful to have worked with more than 1,700 bands over the last 23 summers," stated Lyman last year the last Vans Warped Tour. "The enduring spirit of the Vans Warped Tour remains as bright as ever, continuing to inspire creativity and ambition in new and exciting ways as we prepare for a 25th anniversary celebration in 2019," added Lyman in a statement in the festival website.

Setlist did some extensive coverage of the festival this past year, which you can look back on ICYMI, or just feel like revisiting. The last run featured nearly 70 bands with artists like We the Kings, All Time Low, Simple Plan, Bowling For Soup, The Used, Sum 41, and Taking Back Sunday.

Warped has always been home to legendary stage moments. One relevant moment we can reflect on is when Buzzcocks' Pete Shelley, who passed away the other week, shared the stage with Thursday. Watch the video in Thursday's Geoff Rickly's Tweet below.
