In order to get statistics correct for performed songs there are guidelines on how to write songtitles in English and other languages.
So please read https://wiki.musicbrainz.org/Style/Language/English
If everybody would use his own way of writing statistics wouldn't be correct as to how many times one artist has performed a song or has been covered by another group.
As you can see on the post about Spam / troll user you posted another mod agreed that the way Oddi changes songtitles is the correct way.

Also you can see that for German songtitles there are guidelines too.
Titles of non-English songs are written with small letters (except for first word and proper nouns)

As far as capitalisation is concerned: Whenever in doubt, the capitalisation standards from musicbrainz.org apply.

So there's nothing wrong with him changing the songtitles with The to the.
