Is almost certainly not the same Tommy Shaw that went on to fame and fortune with Styx. In 1968, he would have been 15 years old and still attending high school in Alabama. The Tommy Shaw in Vernon Texas shows up again with pianist Jo Jo Shaw (his daughter?) later in 1968, also in Vernon:

The Rush show you added had the wrong date on the official website.
The date should be 15 november 2012.
