Blending heartfelt lyrics with big sing-along choruses the Moray based singer song-writer Danny Mortimer has been attracting attention throughout Scotland and beyond. Debut album “Out Of The Blue” was released in 2016 gaining him radio international air-play as well as live sessions with some of the biggest local radio stations in Scotland and praise from Clyde 1’s Ryan Borthwick and “The Godfather of Rock” Tom Russell. It is in the live setting that Danny thrives , whether that be playing solo or with his band of accomplished musicians. Main stage festival appearances at the likes of NXNE and Speyfest have beckoned, although the highlight so far has been playing the Glasgow O2 ABC in February.
2018 has seen the release of his new album “Anything But Silent”, which spawned the singles "The Best In Everything", "Through The Sound" and the Title Track "Anything But Silent". It is also the year that Danny and his band embarked on the first full scale Tour, 6 months playing live all over Scotland in support of his new album. This included dates in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, at Speyfest, Lossiemouth, Inverness, Elgin, Glasgow, at Belladrum and also playing at the O2 Academy in Glasgow.

He is now currently collecting ideas and writing for his next release, which will hopefully be out next year!

“Excellent performance, two songs that I could easily hear on the radio. Main thing that caught me was the Songwriting. And Danny’s work moving about on stage was excellent. I always think it must be difficult, to play guitar, playing lead stuff like that is difficult, so well done”

– Tom Russell, “The Godfather of Rock”.
