No worries, summer's pretty busy lol. I'll be going to my 25th concert on Thursday, as I'll finally get to see Myles Smith after months of anticipation!! I'd really like to see Bayside in Birmingham, since they cancelled their concert in Atlanta last year, but I'm still debating on going to Breaking Benjamin. Decisions, decisions... I did finally get a hotel for 3 days in Nashville, within a mile of both Three Days Grace and VOILA!! I'll use the 3rd days for exploring the town, since I've never been to Nashville before.

And yeah, the Alex Warren show was easily Top 3 experience of the year for me! I was so freakin' close to the stage (only 6 rows back!!) I dunno how you can do those drives lol like I missed an Icon For Hire show on Saturday, cuz I thought it was supposed to be Sunday... but the closest chance to see them now is in Nashville on the 27th, but then I'd have to worry about a hotel stay for the night, le sigh. Glad you got to see 5SOS though! I enjoyed my time seeing them a few months back at State Farm, but liked talking to my seatmate more lol always been shy with strangers at concerts, but it made for a memorable night.

How'd you like the Alex Warren show???

Hmm, do you know anyone living in Tennessee, or are you going to be fully alone? I saw Weathers a couple years back when they opened for Palaye Royale. I wanted to see them in 2025 for their headline tour, but was too sick. But I always love their songs, "Happy Pills", "NO CAPS", and "Wasn't Gonna Go Out". Also their collab with VOILA for "Unhappy Hour" is addictive! As for Middle Child, I saw them open for MOD SUN/lovelytheband that same year. I like his song "Older". It'll be my second time seeing Ella and VOILA lol. Can't imagine seeing the same artist/band 8 times! But looks like I'll be on track for that with Mayday Parade or Autumn Kings eventually.

Do you know any affordable, nearby hotels to the venues, as I'm still deciding on options? I know the two venues are only 1 mile from each other.

Hmm, folksy... I'm going to a show next week that's pretty folk, Ike Dweck. Will be my first time at Aisle 5. I'll give those songs a try over the weekend! Pink hair in Georgia is NOT easy to spot lol There's gonna be thousands of people at the Arena, no way could I spot that! Oh cool, I saw Em on Monday! Still pissed that I didn't know about her in time for 2024, but it was a magical night! The 2 year was worth it. Skating on bean bags? That sounds crazy lol Glad you had fun though! Hope you have fun with your Nashville move.

Yeah, was disappointed that VOILÀ wasn't touring in Atlanta, butttt they just so happened to be coming to Nashville the day after my Three Days Grace concert there, so I bought tickets for the VOILA show. I couldn't resist since the lineup is freakin' stacked with Weathers and No Love For The Middle Child. Feels so cool seeing a concert where I've seen every band/artist once already. I just have to figure out a hotel to book at. But November 1st and 2nd will be my only out-of-state concerts. Really sad that Hollywood Undead's not coming to Georgia :(

You should give Yellowcard a chance. It took me over 20+ years to really try them out. But I got hooked on their song, "Only One". And their latest album has so many great songs!! 30 concerts total is still fantastic, so don't feel bad. Before 2024, I had only been to three. And yeah, fuck the nosebleed seats at State Farm lol Did that for Chainsmokers 7 years back, and remember almost nothing about the show. I'll look into this Walker guy. He's not country is he?

But yeah, that's awesome that you'll be at Alex Warren! I'll be a few rows up in seating. I did floor seating for AJR once, and didn't really enjoy that, although it was Top 3 concert of the year for me! It'd be funny if I saw you at the show lol Alex Warren, Myles Smith, and 5SOS are my most-anticipated shows this year!!

The Yellowcard concert was awesome!

In the past couple weeks, I've seen Beast in Black, Autumn Kings, Driveways, and The Maine. All of them put on fantastic performances, but Beast in Black and Maine were the best! Felt so hyped during Beast's show, and so relaxed after seeing The Maine last night. I was considering seeing Jared Benjamin tonight, but I think I'll take a rest day. I can't wait to see Em. I'm still miffed that I didn't learn about her until after she came to ATL two years ago. Really hate when I discover an awesome artist/band, only for it to be too late to see them. I love her range.

So far, I've seen 7 concerts this year, while cancelling on 3. So, doing a little better. I hope I can surpass my attendance record from last year (30). The last couple shows that were standing-only, I opted to just stand during the performances, and sit on the floor in-between. Seems to help me.

Well, seeing how you like them, you might want to try Sadie Jean or Jenna Raine the next time they tour in the U.S. They were both a lot of fun when I saw them! Do you ever see bands at the merch table before they perform? I've never trusted chiropractor, since they're more quack science, but when I'm dealing with back pain, I'll use Cyclobenzaprine. It gives me the best sleep + heals my back from a long day of work or standing at a concert. I usually feel better the next day.

I don't think I've ever used heated seats in a car. Though I prefer being cool at all times anyhow. I've only been to Tennessee once in my life, as a kid, so I don't remember it. Linkin Park last year was my first out-of-state concert ever, so it'll be interesting trying for another. I think I've heard the name Conan Gray, but never got into his music.

So, in May, I have Yellowcard + Plain White T's, Black Veil Brides + As December Falls, and potentially Florence + The Machine (if I can afford a good seat). June is Em Beihold, Said the Sky + MitiS, Kelsy Karter & The Heroines, 5 Seconds of Summer, The Cab, idobi summer tour, and Alex Warren. August has The Fray. No plans beyond that, though I would love to see the twenty one pilots show for a 3rd time, but too expensive.

Damn, I can't imagine being recognized by a musician lol. Would be funny if the Autumn Kings' vocalist remembers me from last year, when I see 'em in April. I've always been nervous about meeting/talking to artists. I dunno how you keep sane driving for so long! I'm pretty much settled on going to Nashville for 3DG instead of Huntsville, since the tickets are much cheaper, and hotels are pretty similar in pricing. Never been to Nashville before, but I really want to see them live for once.

Ask Ella to open for Neoni if they ever tour. I'm seeing Beauty School Dropout/NIGHTBREAKERS, senses, and MOTHICA this weekend, then rosecoloredworld/MISSIO/The Haunt at the end of the month. April is The Maine/Grayscale, Driveways, and Autumn Kings, as I still decide on BOYS LIKE GIRLS.

What attracts you to her so much? You were at the Nashville show? I really considered going tonight for the Atlanta show, but I don't want to risk overexerting myself going to a concert the night after another. I'm sure she'll come back to town soon enough, much like LOLO opened for Simple Plan after her headline tour. Besides, I've got 3 back-to-back concerts from March 6th to 9th, that will put my recovery to the test. So, I'm both eager and nervous about those -- but since last night went well, I'm pretty hopeful.

Happy late birthday! Isn't Dallas really far from you? You gonna take a plane there? I really want to see Three Days Grace, but since they're not coming to Georgia, I'll have to choose between going to Alabama or Tennessee. Either way would require taking PTO from work, since one day is on a Friday, while the other is on a Sunday. And The Funeral Portrait's opening for them. I'm just hoping I'll still have my new job by October.

FMK was definitely one of my faves from the album, though I really wish they had played Unhappy Hour, since that's such a banger! I was in ADA at my venue, but it was right next to the stage. I tried to get merch after, but the long was still going after an hour. The storm didn't affect much where I live, just some freezing rain. Was really looking forward to snow, but oh well. There's still a couple months of winter left, so never know! I'll probably wait to see what Ella's setlist ends up being before deciding. I know her music is directed more towards women, so I'm not her intended audience, but I do like a handful of her songs. I did like seeing Jenna Raine and Sadie Jean when they came to town, so who knows.

Merry Late Christmas.

It's been a long recovery, but I've been taking medicine to help. For a long while, I could barely ride in vehicles, but I did manage to make it to one last show (after cancelling half a dozen) on December 10th to see Unlikely Candidates for a second year. I'm hoping I'll be back to normal in 2026, as I really hated missing out on Maroon 5, Story of the Year, We the Kings, NIGHTBREAKERS, and Winona Fighter. But I did manage to see VOILA, rosecoloredworld, and All Time Low.

How old are the kiddos? Is it the same one as all the time, or do you rotate with other kids? I can't imagine driving for 7 hours, especially at night! I've never done a Renaissance Fair, especially since it's mostly in the summer heat. I still have to get a $6,000 (according to dealer$hip) part replacement on my car, so I'm really hesitant on driving long distances. And I have the worst night vision ever.

I know ADA varies for Masquerade, as the Heaven venue absolutely fucking sucks unless you're in the very front of ADA. If you're stuck behind wheelchair people, you're doomed to a miserable experience, because the pit blocks your view otherwise. It wouldn't be so bad if they would angle the barriers diagonally. But Purgatory/Altar ADA are right to the side of the stage, so you get the perfect spot. Haven't tried Hell's though, but I had to use ADA during the VOILA show, and had a great experience. Hoping tonight at Heaven won't be too bad, as I'm still recovering from my illnees from early October. And MARTA is doing cosntruction, so the walk from there to Masquerade has doubled in time, which really sucks.

Damn 11 hours. My longest shifts have been 10 hours not including breaks/lunch, but they always left me too exhausted to go to concerts afterwards. Besides, I hate the idea of going to work the morning after a show, so I always just took an unpaid day off lol
I don't know how you manage to drive 4 hours solo. Most I've driven on my own is around 1 hour. My playlists don't even last more than 2 hours without skipping songs, and it'd put so much wear on my car. Wouldn't you need to fill up on gas twice?

Whaaa, ADA in the back? What's the point of having ADA seating at that point?? It should always be closest to the stage! Just sucks that Sueco, girlfriends, Weathers, Beauty School Dropout, etc. are going to play there. I really want to see Sueco live, but they only came to Atlanta on the same day as Alec Benjamin, so I had no choice but to miss 'em last year. Roxy has a ton of seating, was awesome for Sad Summer Fest last year, but parking is a pain. They have VIP seating for $400 (2 people minimum), which is worth it for the view + not being behind tall people, but thankfully I only go there a handful of times. It also sucks during baseball season, as the parking spaces get more expensive, since the concert venue is right across from the Braves stadium. Lakewood is... very meh. AmerisBank is the better of the arenas, but Gas South is the closest to me.

You should check out some of Yellowcard's songs, like "Only One", "For You, and Your Denial", or "honestly i". ADTR, you could try out "All My Friends", "All I Want", or "Bad Blood".
