Hello Grant , the name of the opening band for The Knack was Seattle band The Heats, who had a catchy single out at the time, I Don’t Like Your Face. They had to change their name to The Heaters for a bit because there was another band callled that . This was my first concert and I made it a priority to write down every band on the gig as well as venue and date. This has saved my sanity a time or two in recalling shows and bands, I am still in the process of listing all of them here. Happy to help out, I have not seen any flyers with the opening band listed but there is a Facebook page for Pacific NW music archives that also has The Heats as the band for the NW stage of the tour, which I recall was the end of the tour.

Hi again Grant, I did look back at the comment of mine that you responded to, and I had corrected/retracted that comment about America after looking at my ticket stubs and seeing that America played the Sportatorium about two weeks later, in April 1977......
Thanks again for reaching out.

Hi Grant, you're right that Mother's Finest did play with Santana on both March 23rd in Tampa and March 24, 1977 in Hollywood (went to both for my 21st birthday, craziest thing I ever did travelling to see one band). America played a week or two later at the Sportatorium (still have both tickets).
Please do add Mother's Finest to the Setlist?

Steve (burned several brain cells in those days)

Thanks for letting me know grantv, much appreciated.
Kind regards, D

Hi grantv

I’ve just noticed one of the concerts you've noted you attended and am wondering if, by any remote possibility, you might still have your ticket stub for the 1972 Pink Floyd, Hollywood Sportatorium show on 4/15.

It’s a ridiculous long shot I know but thought I’d ask. I’m just looking to find a picture of the ticket and would be happy to offer $40 for a nice photo or scan.
Would love to hear from you even if just to let me know it’s long gone :)

Kind regards
