Just to be clear, he wasn't saying you had to. He was just saying, not to be surprised if somebody argues with your edit, because even if you have a recording, nobody actually knows that.

About this setlist:

While the user you reported as a troll used a less-than-ideal source (streaming versions on sites such as spotify or youtube tend to be automated and often contain mistakes, so reference to a physical release is prefered whenever possible), they appear to have made the edit in good faith and in accordance to the site's guidelines.

Please have a look at the guidelines regarding sources:
https://www.setlist.fm/guidelines#sources
First of all, attendance is a valid source for adding songs to a setlist or making corrections to a venue (such as assigning the show to a specific stage if none is specified yet). However, the creation of a new setlist still requires a verifiable source such as a picture of a flyer/poster, tour schedule, or announcement on the band's website/social media.

Secondly, the recording you made of the show, so long as you do not make it available publicly, falls under the category of "potentially problematic sources" (specifically "offline sources"). This does not mean your edits will be reverted if you don't provide the recording, since you did attend the show and as mentioned before this is in and of itself a valid source for the songs. But it does mean that if an other attendee disputes your edits, your recording does not count for anything and it's your word against theirs, so if you have a recording of a show it's in everyone's best interest for you to share it.

In conclusion, please keep in mind that the point of providing a source for your edits is that others can independently verify wether the information you contributed is correct.

I hope this explanation was useful to you and wish you a good day!

During Rebel Girl, was it the whole band or just lead singer of Be Your Own Pet?
