Arcade Fire Played 17-Song Set On Régine's Birthday in 2018

Régine Chassagne, the co-founder behind indie-rock's biggest group, Arcade Fire, turns 44-years-old today! (Source: This Day in Music).

Together with her husband, Win Butler, the power couple have led Arcade Fire through years of evolutionary rockdom. Starting out in 2001, the band have since released five studio albums.

Their last album was Everything Now, released in 2017. We're celebrating Chassagne's birthday and her contribution to art rock/ baroque pop by looking back at the band's most recent tour.

In 2018, on their Everything Now Continued Tour, AF visited Paredes de Coura in Portugal to perform at a music festival in the small town on Chassagne's birthday!

The 17-song setlist was career sprawling, lifting off with the albums title track "Everything Now" followed by a trio of AF classics - "Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)," "Rebellion (Lies)," and "No Cars Go."

Other highlights included an extended rendition of "The Suburbs" and the outros to "Afterlife" which included snippets of New Order's "Temptation" and LCD Soundsystem's "All My Friends."

The main set ended on "Creature Comfort" following a two-song encore of "Everything Now (Continued)" and "Wake Up" to bring the epic show full circle.
