Mudhoney Announces New Album and Reveals Single

Staple Seattle alt-rock band Mudhoney have emerged from hiatus and announced their first album since 2013's Vanishing Point. Their 10th studio album Digital Garbage will be out September 28th and to get all you grunge kids amped, they've also shared a single off of the forthcoming release.

"Paranoid Core" is a blistering track that holds a fast tempo with ripping guitars the whole way through. Singer Mark Arm's voice is as relentless as ever over the roaring track. The lyrics remain traditionally dark for the band. On the new album, Arm stated:

“My sense of humour is dark, and these are dark times. I suppose it’s only getting darker. I’ve tried to keep things somewhat universal, so that this album doesn’t just seem like of this time. Hopefully some of this stuff will go away. You don’t want to say in the future, ‘Hey, those lyrics are still relevant. Great!'"

Mudhoney will also be embarking on an international tour in the late summer in support of the new album, where we are eager to see some live debuts. "Paranoid Core" was actually played for the first time live a year ago (June 2017) in Seattle where the band also live debuted "Hey Neanderf*ck" and "Nerve Attack," both tracks off the forthcoming album.

Mudhoney just played Burger Boogaloo a couple weeks ago in Oakland, California where they played both "Paranoid Core" and "Hey Neanderf*ck."
