Bright Eyes Drop New Album, Their Last Show was in November 2011

Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was - No it's not the title of 2020, it's Bright Eyes' brand new album that just dropped today. It's their first new material since 2011's The People's Key, and it's exactly what we need in these unprecedented times.

You can listen to the album now or you can listen to it with the band during their official listening party today at 4 P.M. ET -

If life had carried on in a COVID-free world, we would've gotten to see Bright Eyes reunite live by now... But since we're literally down in the weeds, we'll just have to wait and hope that 2021 will be the year we can finally reunite with BE again.

Until then we can relish in the new tunes, and look back at the last show they played on November 21, 2011 to remind ourselves of their epic setlists. The show took place in gorgeous Honolulu at the Hawaii Theatre and carried a whooping 23-song setlist, including a 4-song encore.

The set hit on all corners of their career at that point, opening up with "Four Winds" and touching on songs that embodied our youth like "Bowls of Oranges," "Lua," "Lover I Don't Have to Love," "Another Travelin' Song," and "The Calendar Hung Itself..."

The encore carried more faves like "Gold Mine Gutted" and concert finale - "One for You, One for Me." The People's Key and I'm Wide Awake It's Morning got the most play during the set. Check out the entire setlist below:

We can't be sure if BE would've brought back any of these classics during their reunion tour, or if they'd bust out more deep cuts, or maybe just stick to new songs... Guess we'll just have to wait til next summer! See their rescheduled dates over on their website.
