About the issue of how the 'Peace' songs by King Crimson are written, different releases of In the Wake of Poseidon write them in different ways, sometimes with a dash, and sometimes with a colon, so they are listed both ways on Musicbrainz. I'm not sure how this page decided to use the colon, but we've done it that way for a long time. The problem is, of course, if we write them in two different ways, then they are recorded twice in the system, so we do need to choose one way. I was going to suggest that you make a request for a bulk edit to use the dash instead of the colon, but it looks like somebody already got Event Monkey to change them back.
If you want to make a case for the dash, you could try to make a post about it and see if there is any consensus about which way they should be written.
Hey. I’m going to unlock the Yes setlist for a short time if you have time to update it.
I’ll lock again when you are done.
Just trying to stop the incessant trolling.
No, you can't reply to comments directly on your own page, and no, I don't know why. Keep in mind that this is a volunteer-run site and that there is a lot to focus on in terms of technical fixes. But that's another thing you can bring up in the forum as a future suggestion if you like.
I'm not sure why the song is written in two ways, either. My CD uses the colon, Musicbrainz shows CD releases using the colon, and it may just be that the way we write it was set that way during the CD era. I do notice that digital releases have reverted to the dash, though.
Anyway, I think you can make a case for the dash, but the real priority here is avoiding having the same song written in multiple ways on the site. Usually when you see something that has been written in a certain way for a long time, the issue has been hashed out in the past before, so requests for mass edits may not necessarily be approved, often just to avoid rehashing old debates. In cases like that, it's best to make a post about it in the forum, as you can make your case better there. As you may have noticed, there is a character limit for requests for bulk edits, and if you make a post about it, multiple mods may see it and be able to chime in and respond to your logic.
