Hey, re: Laura Jane Grace and the Mississippi Medicals setlists.
From what I see on MusicBrainz, "Laura Jane Grace and the Mississippi Medicals" have not released an album under that name. The most recent album was released under the artist "Laura Jane Grace":
https://musicbrainz.org/release/1d95f40f-7136-41e2-90b6-69f8ec76411e
The musicians that performed on the album may be the same musicians that are now named/perform as "Laura Jane Grace and the Mississippi Medicals" but the album was released under "Laura Jane Grace".

Due to how this website links to the MusicBrainz database to keep song titles, album titles, and artist names correctly formatted, and a lot of detail on the backend, the songs are assigned to the album and artist that released them, regardless of who actually recorded them.

Similarly, Bob Dylan recorded albums with The Band and some were released as "Bob Dylan with The Band", and some were released as just "Bob Dylan" albums even though The Band recorded with him.

We enter and assign covers based on the release artist. This allows us to track ALL performances of the same song, regardless of the live artist performing the song.

If a LJG album is re-released under the name "Laura Jane Grace and the Mississippi Medicals", once the MusicBrainz is updated we would assign the songs to that re-released album and the cover credit would change.

When an artist performs LIVE we want to enter the setlists based on who performed/billing (who performed is a higher priority than billing).

I see that Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers did release an album, it looks like those songs are all correctly assigned as covers of that artist's name when performed by LJG solo or LJG &TMM (I just made an edit to one setlist).

As soon as the album is re-released under the full and proper band name, please let me know and I'll get the songs updated.

Hey nice meeting you too, definitely recognize you by your taste in bands (LJG)! They don't call me the July Talk setlist historian for nothing LOL. Excited to see your pics!

Hello. I saw your message about Loudness on 8-31-86. I was going to delete it, but then I noticed that two people have clicked the 'I was there' button. Are you sure there wasn't more than one opening band that night?

Always great going down memory lane for these shows!! I see you went to Kiss in Oshawa. That is my hometown and wouldn't miss that show for the world!! :)
