I can not believe the tenacity and viciousness of this group. They brought strikes on my original YouTube channel representing years (6 to be exact) of work, over 4 Million views, 3,000 subscribers to a halt and wiped every trace of it off the face of the web over a couple of Supertramp songs...of which I gained NOTHING from (not financial that is for sure) ...then, I go to check on a video on Vimeo...again, they shut another channel down and more years of work. This is ridiculous...I had JUST recovered from the first shut down and then this....how far do they go with their pettiness and their oh so special copyrights???

Another strike...sigh. Say what you want, but the effect of this is that all "Supertramp" material that will be left is Mr. Hodgson's. I don't know if you're aware of this, but most people are putting the blame on him.

Hi Lisa! I just wanted to know, if the setlist from Kestenholz (July 5th) is correct regarding the claim of a colleague, that Roger played «C'est Le Bon» right after «The Meaning». Personally I don't think so. Thanx for your answer and yes..., it was a blast of a convert!! Unforgettable... :-D

Why would Management want you to edit a correct setlist from the Williamsport performance and purposefully remove four song which Roger did actually play (In Jeopardy, Breakfast in America, Dreamer and Give a Little Bit.) The sole purpose of this wiki is to collect and share the setlist that artist actually played during a concert. I will be correcting the setlist from that show to reflect the actual performance as this site intends.

Hi Lisa, sorry for the late reply, I have an email account attached to my setlist.fm account that I don't check. Thanks for the updates on the Roger Hodgson setlist for 2005-12-02. At first I was surprised to see an update because I was pretty sure I had the correct setlist.
Then I saw you added the composer, which is good info of course.

I replied to your comment, please visit my page and read it...

Thank you for contacting me, this is a short message to let you know I did receive your message and will be responding after verifying information... Thank you for contacting me.

Hello there,

I wanted to contact Roger through his website but then found your page which is, so far, the only indication that Roger actually cares about this...
Last year, I had a cover version of Rick Davies' song "Bloody Well Right" that I put up in the evening and the next morning I had a strike. It was not the first Supertramp song on my channel, in fact I had four others up before.
You made the point that Roger wrote these songs, and Rick wrote those, but the truth is that both shared writers' credits (the "Retrospectacle" and "It was the best of Times" double CDs give credit to both on all the songs that they released when Roger was still part of Supertramp). This means that Roger also has 50% right to all the Rick Davies songs.

You say that Evergreen is representing the record label but this seems to be very doubtful:
- The record label is clearly identifiable as "UMG" (""http://www.pinkfloydfan.net/t12916-youtube-supertramp-and-music-copyright.html#post370455"")
- Supertramp released two more albums after Roger's departure under UMG but those songs are available via YouTube
- The party that claims the right to those videos claims to have the right to the //composition// not to the recording! (""http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703305004575503723927879124.html#articleTabs%3Darticle"")

The only thing I would really like to know from you or from Roger's management or Roger himself is if he approves of us sending counter-notifications. You said the strikes were 'unjust' so I guess at least somebody who got striked for a cover should be allowed to counter the claim??

Something else I haven't understood... How come Roger (www.youtube.com/user/MrRogerHodgson) is able to upload his songs (even from the Supertramp albums) without any restrictions? I'm no detective, but none of the explanations I've heard really makes sense to me.

Thanks, any reply would be greatly appreciated.

BoilerRoom4 I am so sorry to hear this has happened. The record label has pulled and had strikes placed on many people accounts who have had Supertramp/Roger Hodgson music or videos on their YouTube accounts. For this I am sorry. Thank you for sharing this with me, would have loved to see the end result.

I spent 15 hours synching the Paris 2003 women's pole vaulting to Roger's song "Had A Dream". Now get this—two years earlier, I bought his Eye Of The Storm CD because I saw the video clip on YouTube! Anyway, my upload lasted 24 hours and then Evergreen shat on me. I expressed my disgust at info@evergreenmediagroup.com but I'm sure they just don't care.

Biedjee & Hoooter, I am quite disappointed in your inability to have kindness for others, also your falsely accusing based upon pure assumption... I created an account here simply to ask you what in life has treated you so roughly to spread the same feeling to others? Perhaps you should find a better hobby to occupy your time...maybe spread a smile instead of a frown?

Seriously, are you for real?

Since you are so keen on letting the world know that Roger Hodgson didn't just sing and play in Supertramp, but also founded the band and composed songs, can you please update all Roger Hodgson setlists where he performed the Beatles song Across the Universe to show that this was written by John Lennon, who was co-founder of the Beatles?
I mean, if you are making it your personal quest to update the world on copyrights, you have to be consistent...

@heartsong62, can you please tell me what's the point of clarifying who composed each song and if that person is a co-founder of the band, the point of setlist.fm is just that, setlists...

I am so sorry for this challenge and understand your upset. Evergreen represents the record label that the Supertramp albums were released under. They have been systematically removing all Supertramp videos and giving strikes to those who, in some cases have had the videos posted for years, strikes.

I am not sure what steps could be taken, let me ask a few questions and get back to you with any updates.

Thank you so much for sharing this information, it is appreciated.
Sincerely,
heartsong62

I had a video removed that had "Give a Little Bit" that I made for the Humane Society on behalf a little kitten we had fostered. I honestly used this video believing that it was "fair and reasonable use". As a business person, I can look at this with fair-balance and understand what Evergreen Social Media did, but it is very sad that this song was unable to be used to continue to send a good message. I think the artist would have been thrilled and honored if they had seen this video. The video had over 2000 views within days and the Humane Society said that the video was the cause of several local pet adoptions. I removed the video from my account immediately when notified, but I have a "strike" now and have limitations on my account for my personal uses. Does anyone know how to remove the strikes? The only YouTube explanation says that I can counter-claim, but I don't want to. If they don't want me to use the song, fine, but how can I get my account back in good standing?
Thanks to anyone who can help. I have not been able to find a way to contact either Evergreen or YouTube directly to resolve this "strike". (I have never even had a speeding or parking ticket...I feel like I am on probation!)

I apologize for not responding sooner, but this message was hidden. Evergreen Social Media Associates represents the record label and has been having videos removed, sadly resulting in people getting strikes against their Youtube accounts. For this we are very, very sorry.

Thank you for letting us know......

May I just add a comment to this subjest. This is what I recieved the other day-
Dear memorylane1980s,

There is not a lot I can do about it but I find this very sad as I have over 500 videos that I now will probably lose. It was my second highest viewed video with over 120.000 views and lots of great comments. I do ALL my videos justice and they are the highest quality NO ONE has a higher quality and I fill it with information till its FULL! Some one need to have a word with them as its a total disgrace.
Keep Rockin! Ian

Hey man ! No problem =) I just make my best here ;) All the best for you 2
