I'm reading Byrds road manager Jimmi Seiter's 'Byrds - My Way' at the moment, and he explains that after a couple of shows on July 1 and 2, everything was going wrong--low attendance, bad sound systems, next to no lighting, and very inconveniently scheduled gigs, the band's named being misspelled. The entire band was very unhappy. Crosby may have been the ringleader, but it seems that it was a group decision to abandon the tour and fly back to LA on the 3nd.

The band were persuaded to resume the tour, and they quickly went back to the East Coast. Oddly, Seiter remembers The Palace show as being the first one to take place after flying back to the East Coast, but I think he's confused about that, as the timing doesn't make sense (they would have had to fly back after one 1 night in LA), and you obviously have a very clear memory of it being canceled. It was likely the next day, July 5 at the Commodore Ballroom in Lowell, MA, that the band resumed the tour.

Thanks for getting back to me on that. I'll work on getting the 2nd one deleted too. It's not likely, after all, that if if there were 2 shows on that day that they would have canceled one and not the other.

I've requested that the Byrds concert on July 4, 1966, be deleted, as you reported that it was canceled. There are actually two shows listed for them at that venue on that date (as you probably remember, it wasn't uncommon for bands to play 2 shows a day in those days). Do you happen to remember whether both shows were canceled?

Thanks for updating the Byrds setlist. We usually don’t keep canceled shows up, so could you please report the setlist and cite canceled as the reason it should be deleted? Let me know if you don’t know how to do that.

Hello bestyear! I saw you attended a Queen show and that's awesome! It's always really nice to see someone who had the luck to see them live! I was asking, are there any chances you have an audio recording of the show you attended? Thank you in advance and have a good day.

Hi Bestyear1966. You just made an edit to Terry Reid 1969, opening for the Stones at the Boston Garden. Wondering where you got your info - Season of the Witch, I've Got News For You, Superlungs. Also wondering if you are referring to the 5PM early show or the 8 PM evening show. Were Terry's two sets the same on that date? BB King did not play at the early show and I wondered if Terry did a longer set to fill in. Thanks in advance.

Just so you know, if it's not a song then we do NOT want it on the setlist. Half of your edits shouldn't have been made in the first place. I don't think I've seen a single"medley" you've added that is actually correct. If at least one of the songs is played in full THEN IT'S NOT A MEDLEY. If somebody came out at the start of the show to announce the band it doesn't turn the song into a medley. Please keep your edits in line with the rest of the site or don't bother making changes. Thank you.

Let me know if you have any more trouble without Who setlist (or any others) and I will lock it. That User is changing a lot of Who setlists without sources. They look reasonable enough but know I know they are just assumptions.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi is there a way to get the 1973 September 30 show from you? Greets !

This was "bare stage" Pink Floyd. No fancy stage props and minimal lighting, just the band in jeans and t-shirts. The highlight of the show was when flashpots, at the sides of the stage, went off at the moment the "scream" starts in "Careful With That Axe, Eugene". We could feel the heat in the audience. The encore was a Blues jam, played while the roadies dismantled the equipment. By the end of the jam, Nick Mason was alone on the stage, playing the final beats on his lone snare drum. Even the curtain behind the band was drawn back, revealing the bare brick wall. An excellent show!
