Good to hear from You! Indeed, the tale about missing The Who in '76 is true. At 14, it definitely would have changed My Life!. A number of Years ago, when speaking with My Dad on the phone, I recalled that tale to him and asked him If My recollection was accurate and He confirmed it so. I got a late start on Concerts, My first show being "Rush" @ Oakland Coliseum Arena, June 5th, 1981. Now that show did "Change My Life"....
I don't believe I mentioned this yet. I recorded shows starting with "The Kinks", Cow Palace Arena, April 26th, 1983 and finishing up with "Dickey Betts", Independent Nightclub, San Francisco, September 2005. Which was my last show.
I was a fixture in the Grateful Dead Taper Section for 11 Years. What a blast that was.
Tragically, I lost all My Master Recordings in a move several years ago. I was crushed.
Incidentally, I'm currently listening to a Show I did....Rolling Stones, Aloha Stadium, Honolulu, 1998-01-23 from the 10th row.
I traded heavily with other tapers for 20 plus years, so most of My Recordings got widely circulated and have since show up online. Sugarmegs.org, Youtube, and Archive.org for starters.
Last November, an old Friend of Mine posted a Comment on a B.O.C. show from the Cow Palace, November 1983 (I believe You were there also). He and I were taping shows together for several years and I had copied dozens of My Masters for him. I've since been getting many of them back from him.
Hey If you, check out the B.O.C. show from Cow Palace 1983 on YouTube. It pops right up when you search for it. This was My 3rd recording and while quality wise it's quite good, It's pretty raw. At that time I was more concerned about bring the show how and not so much about chatter, etc. It's a gas to listen to after all these years!

Hey There wntrlnd, been a while since We last chatted. I'm currently listening to GD, Kaiser 1985-02-20 on Archive.org. I often check to see other's who attended the show and I find You as an attendee....but of course!. I was checking out Your list of Who show's You attended. Not seeing them with Moonie was and still is a regret of mine.
I thought I'd share this tale with You if You care to listen.
In 1976, I was 14 Years old and living in Ramona, Ca. Both of My Parents worked in San Diego at the time. My Dad, came home from Work on day and asked Me if I wanted to go see The Who with Him. I said yes, very emphatically. I grew up listening to " Live at Leeds" and "Who's Next", "Tommy", etc,etc. My Dad brought them home when they were first released. Had a profound effect hearing that music at such a young age.
My Dad come Home the next night and sadly explained that His Co-Worker (who had an extra pair) wound up giving them to his Sister!
Seeing The Who @ 14 Years old would have changed My Life! Alas, it was not to be.

Hello! I'm writing you because you are one of several people who said they were in the audience for the March 31, 1979 Babys show (Alice Cooper opener). Right now, the setlist has 3 tunes.

The link below claims to be a recording of the show. I didn't add it right away because the last editor didn't say our setlist was incomplete and because the below setlist looks like kind of "long" to me for an opener (9 songs)....but...I wasn't there.

I’m looking for a picture of the ticket and would be happy to offer 4x face value for a nice pic by email. Hey There wntrlnd, The Phil & Friends show at the Martime hall was indeed a great show. I need to list all the other Phil show's I caught. Loved the Combo of Warren Haynes & Jimmy Herring playing together!
Speaking of Warren, I also found the ABB Show's at Concord especially good. Especially the June 30th,1995 show.
A show You caught that I would have given anything to have seen was Pink Floyd, Oakland Coliseum, May 9th,1977. I'll be that show really stands amongst all the show's you've caught. And of course,thank the Lord someone was rolling tape that night....One of Floyd's best ever!.
Speaking of Tapes,would you happen to have the ABB show from Concord, 6/30/95 ?

I was hoping to ask you a couple of quick questions about the KISS concert you attended on August 22, 1976 in Oakland.

1. Do you recall who opened the show? I know for sure that Bob Seger was one of the acts. The advertisements also list either Point Blank (a Texas band) or Earth Quake (a SF-area group), and it's not clear which of those bands was the third act on the bill. Any recollection?
2. Did you or anyone you know take photos or record audio/video of the gig?

Hi, yes that show by Bryan in 77 was awesome. And, what a band - Wetton, Spedding, Thompson, Manzanera, Mel Collins! My wife and I had started dating the week before that show, it is the touchstone of our relationship. We have seen Bryan a bunch since including SB Bowl a few times. That’s a great venue. Thought that Bryan had some good energy last year. We saw both that show and Mountain Winery in Saratoga.

I see that you’ve seen Yes a few times, including the Cow Palace for the 2 tours with Moraz. Speaking of all time favorite shows, the 76 one with Gentle Giant opening is my favorite Yes performance.
