Hi, Sicko!

Thanks for the reply! Have you had the time to check in with the other moderators?

Have a great week!

Hi, Sicko! Hope you're doing well.

I've noticed that, a year ago, bot event_monkey made edits in all of Aerosmith's setlists in which they played a song called "Let the Music Do the Talking". They changed the song from being an Aerosmith original to a Joe Perry Project cover.
For context: Joe Perry was the lead guitarrist for Aerosmith between 1970 and 1979. He briefly left the band until his comeback in 1984. During the years in which he wasn't a part of Aerosmith, Joe did released a song called "Let the Music Do the Talking" with his solo project in 1980. When he came back to Aerosmith, Joe and Steven (Tyler) decided to re-record the song for their new album, and released it in 1985. However, Steven Tyler wrote completely different different lyrics for Aerosmith's version, as you can see in the links below:

Joe Perry Project's version: https://genius.com/Joe-perry-project-let-the-music-do-the-talking-lyrics
Aerosmith's version: https://genius.com/Aerosmith-let-the-music-do-the-talking-lyrics

The question is: in those cases, what should we do? The way I see it, is that this is an Aerosmith original, not a cover. Since Steven was not involved in the making of the original version and then was the main songwriter in the second version, shouldn't it be counted as an original version?
Plus: whenever this is song is played by Aerosmith, it is the Aerosmith version. Whenever this song is played by Joe Perry (solo and/or other projects) it is the Joe Perry Project version. Two different worlds.

I can use Doechii's "Anexiety" as an example. The sound, structure and melodies are almost exactly the same as Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know", but it's a new version. None of the lyrics are the same and, therefore, it is considered a Doechii original.

Let me know if I can help you with any other info!
Thank you!

That works for me! Whatever keeps the peace honestly, haha. Thanks again!

Just saw your reply on my page Sicko, yes that is correct. I understand the other side of the argument, but since the meet & greets are ticketed performances and logged on the site, I would assume they count.

Hi Sicko, another user keeps reverting my edit on this KISS setlist because he has the opinion that ticketed VIP performances “don’t count” for the song stats, which is just untrue. Could you step in and leave a comment perhaps? Thank you!

Hi sicko, how are you? I hope you're well.

Could you please remove the duplicate song "Trac-Trac" (the Portuguese version by "Paralamas do Sucesso" of Fito Páez's "Track track") and merge it with the song that already has the language adaptation tag?

Duplicate song:

Correct sound, already tagged with language adaptation:

*There are 5 setlists from Argentinian artists (Cordyceps, Cielo Razzo, and Rosario Ortega) where, over the years, "Trac-Trac" was added with a cover tag by Fito (instead of "Track track"), but I think it's very likely that these bands played Fito's original Spanish version ("Track track") because it was added to the setlists earlier but was being merged with the Portuguese version by Paralamas. Could you please check if they should also be merged with the "Trac-Trac" by Paralamas or if they should go to Fito's original "Track track"?

Thank you in advance, i’m here to help if needed.

Voy a Arreglar Emila nuevamente.
Gracias
Hernán.-

Hi! Just saw you changed the capitalization on some Fabri Fibra songs (and thank you for that, it really did bother me). I don't know wheter you are using some moderator tool to edit them all at once or if you are doing them hand by hand (which I doubt), but I saw you turned Applausi Per Fibra into Applausi per fibra, which is not really 100% correct as Fibra refers to his artist name and should be considered a proper noun. Is it possible to switch it to "Applausi per Fibra"?

Hi!
When a band performs in a country for the first time ever, what’s the correct place in the setlist to include this relevant information? I saw many, may lists having this as a note at the end of the setlist, is this correct?
I appreciate your clarification on this, thank you so much!

Hi, Sicko!

Sorry, my mistake there. I thought that the only way to move the setlist was to report it and then merge it with a duplicate. I'll pay attention to that in the future.
Thanks again for the help!

Hi, Sicko!

I need your help moving two existing setlists from one artist to another.
- https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/jaloo/2023/casa-natura-musical-sao-paulo-brazil-6ba6dec2.html
I created both of these setlists for a Brazilian artist called Jaloo (https://open.spotify.com/intl-pt/artist/1rdXEdH8SRIqbuTbzQzd93?si=Y7O8c57dTKu17mP4wcBT4Q). However, they were played under his side project called "Os Amantes" (https://open.spotify.com/intl-pt/artist/0CjUWR4PjqnTuxe0fPRoUs?si=pIfvlkFlSC-sVpR7JVtrkw). At the time, Os Amantes weren't registered here at Setlist.fm. Now they are. Can you please help me move them from Jaloo to Os Amantes?

Thank you!

hi - Andy Bell wrote a song "Thank You For The Good Times" recorded by Oasis. Another user keeps changing the song title in Andy Bell's setlist to just "Thank You" citing youtube. I revert it back and cite the Discogs and other sources. How do we stop the pin pong match? thnx Ed

Abrazo!

Never mind.

I did finally get the Scorn setlist corrected for Atlanta in 98!
I was able to find some sources.

hi can you possibly look at the Scorn setlists?
many of these setlists are incorrect.

They should NOT be attributed to Mick Harris, British electronic musician, former drummer of Napalm Death.

It is another band altogether. Looks like possibly a Portuguese band.
Maybe a new musicbranz entry is called for.

Thanks for your time.

Muchas gracias,
Hernán.-
