Yeah, one of the tapes was a recording made by yourself of the Gun Club at Drums in March 1988 ... See the listing of it on my site: https://ameliema.home.xs4all.nl/preachingtheblues/recordings/recordings1988.htm
You're welcome. Let's see what's coming next.
Said all this and that, when I saw your name it vaguely rang a bell. Not just from coming across it on this platform but also from a long time ago ... therefore I checked my archive and found an email thread from 26 years ago about two Gun Club tapes! Remember that?
As I see it, the numbers do not matter. The guideline says to follow the name as advertised. If we are to follow one name, there should be another way to mention any alias or name variation.
Also, it indeed is something bigger. What about an artist like Neil Young who performs with different backing bands?
Anyways, I agree that the guidelines should be clear. And yes, let's see what the moderators have to say.
No, duplicate setlists are not permitted. As said, another user was adding loads of Foetus setlists, creating a lot of duplicates. If I in the process where I tried to sort the mess and following the guideline to use the artist name as advertised (for which I used the Foetus source linked to) have created a duplicate setlist or two it was unintentionally.
Said that, regarding Foetus, another user was adding loads of duplicates for his shows in which I tried to get some consistency. One was using the name as advertised and following the guideline I just quoted.
Where is the guideline that says to treat artists such as "Foetus," including all solo aliases? When looking at https://www.setlist.fm/guidelines#glArtists it says "The artist name should be the name that was advertised for the show."
Hey there, regarding the Rasputina song names, I have nothing against the guidelines, I was just going with how the majority of shows had the names formatted. If there is a way to rename all of the songs titles, in bulk, that would be great, I just went this way to minimize the work to get the names consistent.
ps: thanx 4 correcting & fixing...
Greg, I knew tehy were Bongos songs &/or RB/JM split record, howevwr, that's how they came up on setlist, as RB tunes, as i quickly listed the setlist, be4 i Never got around to doing it...
Hey Greg. I see you mention a Fishbone recording here
https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/fishbone/2024/prospect-park-bandshell-brooklyn-ny-1ba93d5c.html
Would you mind sharing it with me? Hit me at info (a) fishbonelive (dot) org - thx
My pleasure Greg! Btw, I checked out the bands you’ve played with and there is some great stuff there!!
Thank you for your detailed and professional approach to handling the asshole who was arguing over The Church song title spelling. Awesome job!!
The show is locked now. Don't bother responding further please.
Thanks! Seems like you recorded lots of stuff
Hi I was curious about your 1985 recording of the Cocteau twins show in NYC, has that been shared anywhere? Thanks.

Hey! Saw your edit for All Apologies here. Could you link the video of the performance?
If you post your venue change in the Forum > "Problems with venues" the Admin/Mod team should be able to change the venue location from New York, NY to Queens NY is one edit, thus updating it on all the setlists instantly.
Thanks for the Eek-A-Mouse update. I have a bootleg of that show, if you're interested.

When writing Wrong cover or correct spelling as a source is just mentioning what you did.
Give us a link as to why you correct the spelling used on setlist.fm or proof that the group has covered the song in question.
You may have good knowledge about certain songs (sometimes the same songtitles are originals by different artists) or certain groups, so share your knowledge to less experience users and non-fans.

Hey Greg - I’m trying to track down a live performance of Ivy - I Guess I’m Just A Little Too Sensitive.
I see you were very active in creating/editing these setlists. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/ivy-13d6dd29.html?songid=3bc280d0
This video used to be on YouTube but has since been deleted. It’s the band playing live but in what looks like a studio or radio room. Similar to KEXP performances. I wonder if you have this video. Grateful for any help
